Trump’s war against Iran, the genocide in Gaza, the threat of inflation, the scandal of the Epstein files; All of this and more is fueling a burning hatred of capitalism in the hearts of millions around the world and driving them to look for a way out of this crisis-ridden system.
Just in the past 12 months we have seen this anger explode forth in mass movements and revolutions across the globe – from the mobilisations in Minneapolis against ICE at the start of the year and the general strike for Gaza in Italy to the Gen Z revolutions in countries such as Nepal and Indonesia. Even greater events are being prepared in the future. And communists must prepare for them as well.
That is why the revolutionary communists in Cork are putting on a day school of revolutionary ideas, drawing lessons from Ireland’s revolutionary past, the experience of Lenin and the Bolsheviks and discussing perspectives for how to fight against capitalism and the rotten ruling class.
